Victoria Trip July 2011
We had some Worldmark points to burn, so we decided to take a couple day trip to Victoria and stay in their condo.  We drove the Smart car and took the British Columbia Ferry there.  The condo was right off of the water and we had a great view of the houseboats.  The view at night was spectacular.
The weather was quite nice and there was a great walk around the harbor from the condo.  Got to see the seaplanes take off and land.
No trip to Victoria is complete without a visit to Butchart Gardens.  I spent a bit of time waiting for Janice to identify all of the flowers.  I was thinking there should be an I-Pad application for that.
There were too many pictures for the page, so I put a lot of them in this slide show.  There were lots of interesting houseboats.  This one was owned by a diver and was decorated with stuff he had found in the harbor.
The walk around the harbor was fun, we did see a one person band; but Janice discovered a water taxi which we used frequently.
No trip for us would be complete unless we stopped by the Old England Inn.  This was the hotel we stayed at for our honeymoon in 1977.  It had changed quite abit in the last 35 years or so.  No more suits of armor in the hallway...some of it was a little long in the tooth; but it was still operating.
We took the Anacortes Ferry back to the US and had a uneventful ride back home.  It was a great trip.
